P asked:
I had gastric bypass 3 weeks ago but i have horrible acid in my stomach. It’s uncomfortable and it doesn’t let me sleep and causes constant discomfort. My Dr finally prescribed Nexium but at $200 a bottle i cannot afford it. Is Prilosec otc as effective?? should i crush it even though the bottle says not to?

No, you should not crush it. Call your doctor back, explain that you can’t afford Nexium and see if he can provide Nexium samples to you (many doctors have them aroud the office) or if there’s an over-the-counter medication that you can use.
