First thought is that it’s unrelated to your fertility – your stomach hasn’t anything to do with your ovaries or your uterus so that you’re able to have children.
good luck!

Yes you can still get pregnant. They’re two different body systems and serve different functions (reproductive – pregnancy / digestive – food)
You should always express your concerns to your doctor so they can reassure you.

i honestly dont know. but i know that during pregnancy your supposed to eat a fair amount and gain a good amount of weight…at least 30 lbs. if your stomach if tiny your baby will not get as much nutrients as it should.

yes you can but they recommend you see a high risk pregnancy doctor due to vitamin intakes and etc, but alot of people who have this surgery are able to conceive easier and have no problems.

I had my gastric bypass surgery through Forerunners Healthcare Consultants in India I don’t regret it at all I had a baby since then and I’m still able to take the weight off so far i am very happy. The key is to use a reputable surgeon. You want to be carefully screened beforehand to make sure you are a good candidate. Since my surgery I can walk without getting tired, I can play with my son; I can walk down the street with my head held high. I feel pretty for the fist time in years. I was given another shot at life. The surgery is a tool and how well that tool works is up to you!!
I would do it again in a heartbeat. I would recommend to every one who is suffering from the same problems as I did before but I would urge anyone who is interested to seek the best surgeon possible and make the decision based on the surgeon’s recommendations and your own personal goals!! Make sure the reasons for the surgery are the right one. The surgery isn’t for someone who just “wants to be skinny”. Do it for your health, for your life, for family. FOR YOU.
You can checkout their website.
Hope this helps.

Yes you can still get pregnant. The doctor who did my surgery states you should wait at least one year after the bypass to get pregnant. I am not considering it, but I know others who have had the surgery and have gone on to have children. Your care during your pregnancy will be a little different from others because of the bypass, but you can do it. I hope all goes well if you decide to do this. It is a lifelong commitment that I do not regret.
