I know you aren’t supposed to drink soda after gastric bypass, but I do anyway. Do you think it will significantly strectch out the new stomach pouch? I also can eat more than I feel like I should be able to. For instance, I can eat an entire bagel. I’m very full after I eat it, but should I be able to fit it in my stomach? Does anyone else feel like they can eat more than they should? I also have a bad habit of drinking with my food. I am almost 2 years post-op.

After 2 years your stomach has probably stretched out just a little, I beleive that is normal, to a point. This is also a reason why some people ha ve a hard time keeping the weight off post-op, everything heals up and the stomach streches a little and then you don’t feel as full as you use to, or like you said noticed you can eat a little more. But if you are too worryed you need to go to the doctor that did your surgery and get checked out just to make sure everything is ok.

I have some friends who drink soda post-op and others that still get sick from it. You aren’t supposed to drink soda ever and nothing ever with meals because you digest too quickly and eat more that way.
