Is is possible to have complications with a gastric bypass after 4 or 5 years of no problems?

I had a gastric bypass 4 or 5 years ago and have done really well ….but lately I can only eat about 3 or 4 bites of food when it feels like the pouch has shut off and I have bad pains.

    For hospital company down here in south texas dealing with patients having complications and discharged lately she has seen alot of patients having complications from this surgery so get admitted and discharged lately she has seen alot of patients having complications.

    Contact your doctor. You could have developed a stricture. That is when the opening has gotten tight. They can go in and stretch it. It can happen at any time after the surgery. Call your doctor right away to have it checked out. You don’t want to ignore it.
