My spouse has had gastric bypass more than a year ago he continues to feel nauseated every morning, why?

Sunny R asked:
It takes him a couple of hours each morning to get going. He gets up, is nauseated and must make multiple trips to the bathroom. Is this normal? We had hoped losing the weight would make our lives more enjoyable.

I would suggest that he see his Dr. ASAP. If he is in a support group, he could ask there. I’m almost 5 months out and haven’t had any problems even close to that.

no, it’s not normal, throwing up that frequently after gastric bypass is damaging (well, for anyone), he needs to consult his doctor immediately
